Goals
Setting goals is entriely optional - but may help motivate you to stay on top of your practice! Goals are faily straightforward - you set them, and BPP keeps track of progress towards those goals based on your practice sessions.

Here's how goals work in BPP:
- You can create one or multiple goals, based on what you want to achieve.
- Goals can be either recurring or one-time.
- Recurring goals can have a daily, weekly, or bi-weekly frequency. They automatically create one-time goals for any period during which you have a practice session.
- If you want to temporarily disable a recurring goal, you can toggle it on and off instead of deleting it permanently.
- Practice accrues to all active goals, even if they overlap. For example, if goal A is "Practice 30 minutes" and goal B is "Play Happy Birthday 5 times", then playing Happy Birthday will count towards both goals.
- Goals can be either time-based, or reptition-based.
- Time-based goals can count all practice time, only drills (scales & arepggios), or only a specific piece.
- Repetition-based goals are based on drills (# of scales/arpeggios played) or pieces (playthroughs of the full piece, or a specific measure range). Repetiton-based goals can also require a minimum accuracy in order for a repetition to be counted.
- One-time goals may have a deadline. If so, the goal will remain active until the deadline, and allows "overachieving" - e.g. completing 7 out of 5 reps. In contrast, open-ended goals that don't have a deadline will be marked as completed once the goal is 100% achieved.
- Whereas insight reports are generated based on logged practice sessions - deleting a practice session will remove it's contribution to any insight reports - goals are updated as you practice, and are not affected by deletion or re-anaylsis of practice sessions.
- If you have a teacher, they can see your goals, and may assign goals to you. Goals assigned in this way will be badged with the teacher's profile.
Good luck on achieving 100% on all your goals!
